The Chamber's stewardship of the business environment, capital investment opportunities, the creation of jobs, and the preservation and enhancement of the natural and civic environment includes the following activities, committees, and processes.
Political and Economic Policy. The Chamber Board of Directors oversees the Chamber's advocacy processes. Positions and policies are developed through research and analysis of the Chamber’s staff, volunteers, and its Community Affairs Committee. Using polls and industry-focused meetings, and relationships with its members and public policy principals throughout the County, the Chamber sustains a robust policy agenda.
Advocacy: The Chamber is actively engaged public policy development prior to public processes regarding public policy adoption and changes and consideration of private-sector projects and investments.
Communications: Information, analysis, policies, and comment are provided through Chamber advocacy letters, enews articles, and the Executive Blog.
