UWSCC seeks a dynamic, authentic leader with a strong equity lens who will take the organization to new heights. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will leverage their background in executive leadership and management experience to drive sustainable strategies that embrace equity and inclusion principles. As the Chief Mobilizer, the CEO will bring fundraising prowess, business and partnership development skills, an understanding of collective impact, experience with and knowledge of scaling organizations, and experience with organizational culture change. The CEO is responsible for building trust in United Way and its relevance in the community. The CEO values the network and strives to leverage United Way’s breadth of community presence, relationships, and strategy.

Goodwill
Goodwill Central Coast works hard to build lives, families, and communities by removing barriers to employment through their education, training and employment services. They believe that everyone has the right to work, but for many individuals the barriers to employment are too high to overcome alone. Barriers like homelessness, military service, single parenting, incarceration, addiction, and job displacement can define a person’s identity, even when they have so much more to offer.
Their goal is to ensure all of our community members know their worth and gain the skills and confidence to land a job that could turn their life around. Each year they assist over 13,000 job seekers get back to work and reclaim financial and personal independence as well as provide a positive learning environment that creates brighter futures through connecting people to meaningful work. |
Internship Opportunities:
At the Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce, college students can obtain hands-on experience in a variety of departments. Internships offer responsibilities such as research, writing, database management, web page maintenance, communications, and event preparation.
