Chamber Business Consulting and Support

The Chamber is a unique source of business knowledge to its members and those considering investing in a new business or real estate project in Santa Cruz County. Online Learning Resources

The Chamber partners with Coggno, a training provider delivering online courses to businesses around the world.  These affordable courses, created by industry experts on topics ranging from social media and software applications training to HR and business management skills are available when you need them. Coggno's learning management software, with its fully supported 24/7 access, is available on desktops as well as mobile devices, making online training easy and convenient.

Chamber Workshops

The Chamber provides workshops that focus on on local concerns, hot issues, and compelling business issues. Recent topics have ranged from project management to housing development. The Santa Cruz Small Business Development Center at Cabrillo College offers a wide variety of services for present and potential small business owners. The U.S. Small Business Development Administration-funded provides confidential counseling services  free of charge.

Workforce Development Board (WDB)

The WDB is dedicated to help Santa Cruz job-seekers access the tools they need to manage their careers and to help local employers find the skilled workers they need to compete and succeed.

The Workforce Development Board (WDB) of Santa Cruz County brings together the business and education communities, local government, and residents of Santa Cruz County to:
  • Identify local and regional workforce issues and create practical solutions
  • Keep its finger on the pulse of changes in occupations and the local and regional labor markets
  • ​Responsibly manage the employment services funded by the federal Workforce Investment Act, to train and deploy workers, retrain employees who have been laid off and help all workers gain the skills they need to enter and prosper in the labor market
