Women In Business Luncheon
Thursday, December 7, 2006
11:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Cocoanut Grove, Santa Cruz
Featuring Melissa Gilbert
President of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospice & Palliative Care Coalition

Melissa Gilbert, who warmed our hearts as Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie and who served two terms as President of the Screen Actors Guild, discussed her new role as President of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospice & Palliative Care Coalition. Ms. Gilbert was a driving force behind the passage of The Nick Snow Children’s Hospice & Palliative Care Act of 2006, a grassroots movement that began in Santa Cruz County. She discussed her vision and leadership in the growing movement to ensure that all children have access to health care that meets their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Over 300 women AND men joined us for our annual Women in Business Holiday Giving Luncheon. The raffle, which the proceeds went to supporting two local charities, Habitat for Humanity and The Epilepsy Network, netted almost $1300!
