Santa Cruz Chamber Networking Mixers
Sponsoring a monthly networking mixer with the Santa Cruz Chamber is an excellent opportunity to showcase your business, meet prospective clients, and build relationships with business people from small, mid-size, and large Santa Cruz companies.
To be a Mixer Host you must be a Santa Cruz Chamber Member. You may co-host the mixer with another business, caterer, or winery that is not a member of the Chamber with approval from the Chamber. If you are not yet a member and would like to host a mixer, please call us. We’d love to sign you up and may be able to help you increase the value of both your membership and the mixer.
Mixer hosts are responsible for providing a non-alcoholic beverage and wine (additional beverages are optional), hot and/or cold hors d’oeuvres, and cups/glasses, ice, beverage openers, napkins, plates, and utensils as needed. Your location and parking lot should comfortably accommodate at least 100 people. For more information on mixers, see the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce Operation Policies and Mixer Guidelines.
Networking Mixer Request
Please complete and sign the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce Operation Policies and Mixer Guidelines form to apply to host a Santa Cruz Chamber mixer. The Chamber holds only 12 mixers each year so sponsorship of a mixer is subject to availability. If a mixer doesn't work out for your business, please contact us for other ways we can help promote your organization. Making the most of your mixer
If you are selected to host a Chamber mixer, your business should:
______a. Set goals for how many guests you'd like at the Mixer
______b. Develop a marketing plan to achieve those goals
______c. Develop invitations/announcements list
______d. Identify important event participants
______a. Decorations, food, drinks, marketing materials
______b. Invitations or flyers and/or advertising
______c. PR including press releases and local calendar listings
______d. Photographer, videographer
______e. Follow-up to event – optimize marketing
On the day of the event:
______a. Set-up business for the event
______b. Prepare your staff to make the most of guest interactions
______c. Support your vendors’ set-up (food, photos, etc.)
______d. Have a great time!
