Chip and his management team at Joie de Vivre plan to bring new insight and energy to the recently renamed Santa Cruz Dream Inn, Santa Cruz's premier ocean front lodging property. In his remarks, Chip will share some of his unique business philosophy detailed in his latest book, which was inspired by legendary psychologist Abraham Maslow, and how Maslow's theory of the Hierarchy of Needs can be adapted into a new psychology of business, inspiring peak performance and transforming relationships.

China Travel and Trade Mission - Fall 2008
Travel with the Chamber to China! We’ll leave October 15 for a nine-day China immersion at a spectacular price:$1,599 – including air fare and ground transportation, first-class hotels, great food, attraction admissions.
Our first mission in February took 450 Santa Cruzans, their friends, and families to Beijing, Shanghai… the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, a Tea plantation, a Silk Factory. Evaluations of the experience by travelers’ were “off-the-charts good”.

This time we’ll add an optional excursion to Xi’an to see the Terra Cotta Warriors. Travelers will again visit the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace, the canals of Souzhou and the retreat of Chinese rulers, Hanzhou.
