Fresh Prep Kitchens celebrated its grand opening on Friday and Saturday with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday at noon at its new location at 504 Front Street in downtown Santa Cruz. Baja Fresh opened their Pacific Ave store in May 2005. Mayor Mike Rotkin and Baja Fresh owner Bob Winston did the honors.
Trader Joe's opened their Front Street store on December 10. A crowd of customers gathered to enjoy music, coffee and the ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Mike Rotkin and Store Captain Kevin Faber did the honors as the latest reason to shop downtown opened their doors.
Our Chamber celebrated the progress of the Friends of the Del Mar Theatre (FODM) with a ribbon-cutting on October 14. Joining us were FODM Board President Catherine Graham and Vice- Mayor Mike Rotkin and Council Member Ed Porter.
